Challenge #273 - ABC123

Hi  Karrie up this week, and here's a little formula to get you to USE YOUR STUFF!
It's super easy, just use on your project:
1 manufacturer starting with the letter A,
(at least) 2 Buttons
(at least) 3 Colours

here's mine with:
Amy Tangerine letters
a couple of buttons in the shaker
3 main colours - blue, red, orange.

Have fun, get creative and USE YOUR STUFF!   Link up below.

For the "A" in this challenge, I used papers from Authentique's "United" collection.  I also used five buttons, and various shades of red, white, and blue to highlight one of my favorite pictures of my daughter at the USA Women's National Soccer Team game.

For A I used multiple collections from American Crafts, for B I used two pink buttons along with some enamel dots and for C I used Pink, Blue (Navy and Light Blues).

Challenge #272 - Colour Splash Challenge!

Hi Peeps,

it's Majo here to "entertain" you! I'm so glad to see you here again for the current Challenge #272 - Colour Splash!

Use ONLY Black & White plus one colour of your choice on your creation :)

You can craft anything you like, an ATC, a tag, a card or a layout or even a canvas. I can hardly wait to see what you come up with!

A little inspiration for you is my ATC using Viva Las VegasStamps for the main image, the hat and the word, Rubber Dance Stamps for the wings and some unknown manufacturer for the tiny little stars.

Take a look at the beautiful creations from our Design team:

I used the Kaisercraft - #ME Collection for this layout.

Heather R

Pictures of my hunky hubby and I on our recent vacation. I used papers from Echo Park and DCWV as well as a mix of embellies from my stash.

I scrapped this photo from our maternity photo shoot with baby #1! Seems so long ago!

I created a set of project life style cards using black and white with a splash of teal:

Challenge # 271 - All Creatures Great and Small

Hello one and all! Happy Monday and welcome to this week's challenge...a fun one I hope! This week's challenge is to create a project with an animal on can be in the photo, it could be some embellishments or DP that you use....

Here are some fun projects that the DT created to get you started!

It was easy to make a page about my beautiful li'l creature Mini!

My daughter has a habit of sending me pictures from school holding all sorts of creatures in her Biology classroom...I decided her school/zoo pictures would be perfect for this challenge.

I'm a bird watcher so lots of photos of a variety of birds here's one.

My daughter and her little dog, Willie enjoying a beautiful sunny day riding down the river.

I love birds!

I was very excited to do this challenge, as I had been hoarding this paper since I got it in March. I used some scraps of papers to do the borders around the photo and punch out the hearts. I love my bunnies.

Challenge #270 - A Magical Music Challenge

Music can be such a wonderful and powerful thing. The right song can change your whole mood.  It can also help inspire a great scrapbook layout or card.  For this week's challenge, I would love to see your projects inspired by music and Disney.  Use a Disney song title or lyrics on your card or layout. It doesn't even have to be a Disney project.

In my layout below I used "Kiss the Girl" from The Little Mermaid with pictures of my son and his girlfriend from their senior prom this last April.

Here's my layout featuring a song from the Disney movie MARY POPPINS, called FEED THE BIRDS.  I used a sketch from Creative Scrappers and the Fancy Pants - Attwell line.

For my layout I used some lyrics from the song A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes from the movie Cinderella to document this photo from my maternity shoot with my first.

I have chosen "You've Got A Friend In Me" from Toy Story for my layout of my two boys when they were little boys..

For this challenge, I used a kit featuring Moana, which has a sticker that uses a line from her feature song.  This is my first time doing a Disney themed planner spread, but the happy colors are awesome.

Challenge #269 - Road Trip!

Hello I'm your hostess today with your challenge for this week. My husband and I often take Road Trips, some times close to home and other times a few hours from home. MY challenge is layout or a card of A Road Trip! Vacation layout or card. For the card I'm pretty easy and would let it be a vehicle on it too for the meaning of road or trip :) or and Home sweet Home card for getting home from a trip. Just have fun with it. Here is my layout from one of Road Trips my hubby and I take throughout the year.

Hubby and I often take road trips on the bike.

It's so good to be home again after a long trip or even a short road trip :)

Chris C.

Earlier this month we took a road trip from our home in suburban Philadelphia to Toledo, Ohio to visit family.  Along the way we stopped for two nights in Cleveland, Ohio.  There is so much to see and do in Cleveland. We visited the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the house from the movie, The Christmas Story. And to celebrate our 29th wedding anniversary we ate at my favorite chef, Michael Symon's restaurant, Lola. Cleveland Rocks!!!

For this project, I decided to feature a picture of my children going on a "road trip" around our cul-de-sac in their Disney Princess car.

I have created a 12x12 layout documenting our latest family holiday adventure. The photos are of us at the start of our trip to a place a few hours from where we live. As you can see by our faces we were very excited to be on the road to our holiday. Check out my you tube channel over the next few days for a process video for this.

Such Great projects from the design team! We hope you can find some time to play along with us this week!

Highlights #268

Thank you all so much for playing along this week.  I had the best time reading all of the blogs with people trying new things and using old product.  There were so many great projects that I really had a hard time choosing.

Here are the highlights:

#8 Craftysahmiam
I love that she used a card she purchased a while ago to make a template to make this card!

#5 PaperSewPaint

I love this card and loved that she stepped out to try a new technique with watercolor.,  What a great background.  BTW, I do not see the mismatch in the inlaid part.  You did a great job.

#9 Bonnie Garby

I love this mini album.  Great job mastering page construction ( which I am currently working on) and love the fact that she pulled out an old paper pack from her stash to make it.

Thank you so much for everyone who played along in this challenge.  Join us tomorrow for a new challenge!

Challenge #268-Try Something New

School may be out for the kids, but that doesn't mean we crafters have to stop learning.  There are so many new products, and so many different techniques, that it is easy to get overwhelmed and not try new things.  I purchased a tutorial on making handmade albums about a month ago and looked at the number of pages in the tutorial and became overwhelmed.  On my desk that tutorial went until this challenge.  I decided to at least make the album cover in time for this challenge.  It was actually FUN!

So, since I had so much fun learning bookmaking techniques, my challenge to you is to try a new technique or use a product that you haven't use before on a project. Bonus points if the technique or product is something you purchased a while ago and haven't used.

Come on!! Let's learn together. Just because school is out, doesn't mean we crafters have to stop learning too.

My newest highlight, the beautiful Viva Las VegaStamps, plus a background stamp from Darkroom Door I hadn't used yet  ....

I had a little bit of a hard time trying to figure out what I wanted to do for this challenge but I decided to give a hand stitched title a try.  I have always loved the look when I see it on other's layouts so here is my first try at it.

When I make cards I always just make the plain old kind folded in half. I saw this cute card online and decided to try to replicate it for my husband for Father's Day.

I used a new embossing folder by Taylored Expressions for this card.

I decided to play around with my watercolors and make some project life style cards to add to my album.

#267- Use warm, summer colors

Merry Monday everyone! Tammy here with your new challenge!  I just came back from a weekend away in Canada we always know when it's summer because everyone is camping - rain or shine!  My theme this week is to use warm sunny colors - oranges, reds, yellows, turquoise, bright green - any of those fun summer colors that just warm you inside and out!
Can't wait to see what you create and to get the mojo flowing, here is some inspiration from the DT!

For this project, I decided to go with a vintage feel using oranges, reds, yellows, and turquoises to showcase one of my favorite pictures of my daughter gardening with her dog.

For this summer project, I thought of the tropics and my granddaughter climbing a palm tree!

Amy here with a pocket page spread for this weeks challenge. I have used the Cocoa Vanilla Studio You Rock collection to make the 4x6 cards as these had some vibrant pops of the warm summer colours this challenge calls for. I then used other PL cards to fill in the blanks and pops of bright embellishments to finish this off.

Alice K.
I made a set of ATC cards with summery colors and a summery theme.

perfect colours for a pool fun page!
Happy summer everyone!

I stuck more with the oranges, reds and yellows for this page
